I've been grinding a wide variety of brands/suppliers of whole bean coffee for years trying to find something that reliably hits the spot. Usually once I get a dark enough roast to have the body and complexity I want, it's too smoky and bitter. This is the only one I've found on the medium to dark roast spectrum that has the full body complexity and richness without the burnt/bitter/overly smoky taste. It's rich and caramelly, and a bit earthy, while not being too funky or burnt tasting. It's now my daily staple. Well done, Heirloom.
